Collaboration between the ABC, the Health Promotion and the Midwifery Management at Karin Grech Hospital

For the first time in the history of breastfeeding in Malta these three stakeholders have found common ground to start a method of collaboration in the way they work for breastfeeding. The Press Conference held on the 2nd August was organised by the three organisations as a joint venture.

This first collaboration was intended to precisely work together to celebrate Breastfeeding Week Malta, 2004. The role of each organisation is autonomous from the other two yet together they form a big part of the whole.

The synergy emerging from this venture culminated in the projection of the image that the three together would like to improve and that together they can find new ways to promote, to protect and to support breastfeeding.

Website for the Association of Breastfeeding Counsellors

We are proud that this moment has finally arrived!

www.breastfeedingmalta.org is the address of our brand new website.

The website is meant to document information about the ABC as well as to serve as a point of reference for factual information about breastfeeding and the issues related to it.

Furnishing new HQ

Fr. Louis Camilleri, Director of the Cana Movement has kindly offered the use of the ground floor room at Dar ta Kana, The Mall, Floriana, for the ABC to use as its Headquarters.

Members are hunting for suitable office furniture and equipment to furbish the room.

Anyone who is interested in supplying the ABC with the necessary items is welcome to send in their proposal addressed to The Secretary, ABC. Dar ta Kana, The Mall, Floriana,  before 15th September, 2004.

Fundraising activities

Four activities are being planned for 2004 with the final aim of acquiring some revenue for the everyday running of the organisation.
